Using Liliy of the valley

I have had conflicting opinions about using lily of the valley in bouquets . I know it is best to keep on the bulb as long as possible but can they be wired sucessfully say like you would a rose or better in hand tieds? Some florist freinds say better to avoid at all costs. Any advice guys??

Lily-of-the-valley and steph....mmmmmmmmmmmm I'm an old person, and I'd love it! Wire l-o-t-v with spool wire....make hook in wire, attach near the top, only twist round a tiny amount (hope you understand), and parafilm to end........CAREFULLY!...........

I brought a nice rose the other day in fact cos it was so nice I went back and asked the florist what it was called, it was something like 'too-faced', bubblegum pink underneth the petals and dusky pink on top plus it smelt devine - which I think an older bride would like also fits with mr. T's suggestion.

Lily-of-the-valley will most likely be supplied on the bulb. I used them at Easter. Left them on the bulb in water for four days before use, then snipped them off as close to the bulb as possible.

Mine were a hand-tie with natural leaf collar, so tied night before and put in vase. Lasted very well for the day.

Keep the bulbs, feed them and plant them! Free next time!
