Thanks Rach, got some white roses and white/pink lizzyanthus, only got 7 roses though, hopefully it will be enough.

Got 5 aspidistra leafs to to fold for the outside, just hope I can do it.

I'm probably a bit late to help you now, but next time you do a hand tied, ask your florist to get you some chamerops, they are ideal leaves to place around the edges, and you'll only need about 3, but tell her you don't want big ones

Sorry for late reply, been logged on but looking for holidays.

I've got some Eucalyptus, too. I feel so sick thinking about tommorow, not happy with choice of flowers or anything. Thankyou Flowerfairy I'll do that next time, i'm so spoilt to have you experts on hand to give me all this kind advice.

Belinda where are you - how did your exam go?

Just back, had an awful day.

It was all so rushed, no lunch as the exam wasn't until this afternoon and I couldn't eat

Anyway, I failed

We had 20 mins to do it, 10 mins into it I realised my tying point was too low, so had to start all over, then I panicked and it all went wrong after that as I was so nervous.

Very upset, especially as I was the only one, had a few tears since

Belinda, so sorry you've had a crap day.
You know even us working florists get it wrong sometimes too- sometimes a bouquet just wont go together and look right whatever you do to it (I've chucked many a bouquet against a wall in anger when its not worked- a TOTAL waste of money but made me feel better!). You do need to get used to working under pressure (thats like any normal shop enviroment) and these exams are good practice for you.
It doesn't feel like it at the moment but you ARE learning from this and it will make you a better florist from it, we've all had to go through the same. Please have faith in yourself, the work you've posted in the gallery is proof you're coming on really well- you're going to make a really great florist!

Well said Jo and Belinda sorry you had a bad day but keep your chin up I remember these days so well up and down and many tears along the way but as Jo said you have posted some lovely work here and will get there do expect some falls along the way this is a great learning curve and you will do better next time

The pressure can really get to you sometimes, cant it?
its like everything, Im learning to drive at the minute and I get so nervous sometimes even though I know I can do it.
You will do it next time, You seem like a really good florist, so chin up.
