Tall Vase Arrangement
I've got to do all-round arrangements on top of tall , narrow lily vases. Bride wants them filled with coloured water. Just wondered how you might get oasis to stay secure on top ?

i would be very care full, i did 100cm thin tall black vases with 3 stems of lillies and folages this friday for my wedding and i was a bit worried about them going for a burton................. so a design on top of one, hummmmmmmm
anyway if needs be, we discussed something sim a few weeks ago, i think it was you who asked as well goodie. ![]() wooden dowel and oasis ball on top but clear vase.... .......... you can get clear poles so you wouldnt see them ![]() infact you can get a thing from the balloon place that has a bowl on the top or you glue it.............. so ................BALLOON SPECIALISTS HELP i wouldnt know what they call them, dont do the ballon structures but adapting them would work ![]() |

we either use a dish to fit the top of vase as tight a fit as poss and taped,or wedge the oasis in to the top then bring as much foiliage down over to cover up the oasis bottom, depends on the colour of the water as to how much that will hide.

yeah you can make a ball and wedge it on as well. the vase should be weighty enough if it has water in. if not ask her if she would like some stones/pebbles the same colour as the water, that would help

The vase is too narrow to take pebbles , i am abit worried about weight ? I will need the oasis to be wet as she wants roses in them? having a trial run on Monday !

The only problem we had was that it was in a marquee and the ground was a little uneven, so if the table was not level the arrangements tipped, having said that we were lucky we only lost one (we were at the wedding too). All I can say to you is to secure the oasis well on top of the vase and try and keep the arrangement balanced evenly and not too tall. Try also to not let the caterers handle the vases and arrangements as they can be a bit heavy handed!!! I will be posting some photos in the Albums tomorrow. Good luck!!!! ![]()
