Gosh am I glad you guys are here some days!!!

I've just had a call about a funeral tribute for monday and I'm not sure where to start with making or quoting!

Its for an old fashioned convertible mercedes car tribute.

You cant buy a sports car base can you?

Why is it, the only bleedin weekend you plan to take offall year, something big comes in : (

so its a flat one you are thinking of making rather than a 3d. 3d would be more impressive with a car i think although i know nothing about cars so have no idea what that one looks like lol. anyway flat one i probably wouldnt buy a base and cut my own base out of a 2ft x 3ft board, that way you can get the right shape. Id go to google images and get a good picture of it and draw it on the board then cut it out. you could also blow the pic up but im not technical lol. prices, well I would charge £150-£200 probably? and £200-£250 for 3d depending on size? hope that helps

there are quite a few diff. soft top mercs.... diff shapes depending HOW OLD ?

I would find out which model first and foremost.

2d def around £200,,, and on a full size designer board.... .....

you can even use Paint to Blow up the pics if you need to create a template.

Open the pic up in paint then, select page setup.. u can then select how many pages you want to print it over,,, eg... 5 x 2 if you work out how many A4 pages fit on to a designer board.

It was the timing I had issues with on this one. I would have loved to have done a 3d sports car, but it was ordered so late! In the end the lady was happy for me to creatively put together anything that incorporated something about Mercedes.

So, I've got a 24x square designer board and I'm going to do a big silver merc logo in the centre with two sprays on either corner. I'm then going to use some china grass and some other bits to 'funk' it up a bit.
