Can any of you wonderful people help. I want to have a bash at making a gyp pomander, how wet should I make the oasis.

did one and they look well good well i didn't use a ball as i find they are just not small enough so i shape a piece of oasis hold under water 10 to 15 secs then ribbon on wire through and hey presto good to go Attachment 153
heres a sweetpea one i did a few weeks ago

i love pomanders

Yes I use the cylinder oasis and shape it find the samll sphere is a little to big

Thanks for the advice Potty and Rach. The sweetpeas look lovely in the pomander, looks like I'll have to get my knife out and shape a bit of oasis. How big a diameter do you recommend, I presumed the oasis spheres would be ok. I'm not doing it for anything in particular, I saw one in a flower mag and thought I'd have a go. I love gyp.

Wire ends of ribbon together with two long wires push through oasis from top coming out bottom bend excess wire back up and insert into oasis then start to place your material
