Interesting materials
I am getting really bored of the natural materials that are available from the suppliers I currently use, but I can't really find where to start looking for other bits to use.
When you flick through fusion flowers mag or any designer books, there are so many interesting materials and containers used..................where do you get these from ???????? I have tried a few different suppliers but they all stock the same bog standard things. So far searching on the net hasn't helped. I am looking for things like twigs, bark, funky stands and containers etc. Does anyone know where to buy such things?? |

I have often thought of taking a trip to holland for sundries, but its a bit difficult with small children, i know some florists take their van over and do a buying trip, not sure where they go though, maybe someone on else can enlighten us

maybe try the same as organising a trip to amsterdam if lots can get together do a trip to alsmeer and stop of at a wholesaler most of the coach drivers know where the wholesalers are and then you can fill the bus up with goodies or ask the dutch men, fred in soton has organised one or two before, so maybe more can do this as well, worth a try

You don't have to go as far as Holland. Take a trip to van Remoortel in Belgium, between Ghent and Antwerp. Easy with Eurotunnel! (Sounds like an ad!) And a very straightforward drive. They have a HUGE choice of all those things you see in the magazines, in an enormous warehouse - I drool. There's a minimum spend and you have to register, but have a look at their website. Van Remoortel :: Groothandel in bloemsierkunst, decoratie en etalage-materiaal. They have a catalogue as well and will send things over. They also have a canteen with lovely Belgian chips - and the cleanest loos you will ever see in your life....
