Hi Lisa, sorry about your dad. I can imagine how upsetting it must be for you and your family.
With regards to your tribute, if your stepmother has a traditional heart (ie white based with spray) I think the heart you did in the gallery is stunning, quite unusual (and would be very different from your stepmothers) and different when using the colours of reds and blue you're thinking of. I'd definately go for an open loose heart.

i think i will do the open loose heart, i really do like the one i did in the gallery so i think i will do something simular to that, we have to travel 200 miles down to his house and i think i may take some of the foliage out of his garden, we will make the arrangements when we are there, thank you for all your ideas and kind wishes

Sorry to hear about your Dad, why dont you do a red and white heart from your step mum, simular to this one, you can make it look so much nicer, why not use red and white roses. Hi Passionflowers think it would be lovely for you to use some foliage from your dads garden. I did this for my neighbour last year, his wife loved their garden, it made it extra special, I also had a lady who bought some foliage in from her hubbys garden for his tribute, beautiful cordiline and black grasses, I think it makes them so much more personal. Keep on chatting to us, hopefully it will help a little. Thinking of you
