'Christening Ring'
I've been asked to do a circular arrangement to go around the top of a font, would do you do it on plastic trays? Sounds like its going to work out quite expensive.

hi Alice, I usually make either a garland "the old fashioned way" with long pieces of greenery and wired flowers OR use a oasis foam garland "sausage" OR use a wreath ring. With all these options you would need to know the dimensions of the font and how wide a base you will have to work on to decide which method will be best. Good luck!

you could do with cheaking at the church if they have any attachments on at a church where my first born was christened they had pots that was on thick wire around the font and they worked really well i'm have a double christening on sept2nd of Josh and livvi and can't wait to go mad in the church hehe might even go all out and do a full length gyp garland down each side of pews then watch how everyone gets into the pews he eh

Hi Jo, thanks for that, I like the idea of the sausage (no laughing!), how do you secure it though? I reckon wreath ring is easiest but don't think it'll be big enough. I've got dimensions but I'm still none the wiser. Will have to draw it out.

Thanks potty, think i will go and do a recce. How lovely to be able to do your own flowers. You could make the kiddiewinkles capes like the racehorses wear! How cool/bonkers!
