Think most people on here would from what ive seen!!
I just think sooo many people what their weddings to be posh and smart and stylish...why?
We are in our 30's love having a party and a laugh and i want my wedding to be the same..chilled none of that poncing about so formal sit down meal...we are having a bar b and later aftenoon tea..champayne of course im not totally dim!!
So i want flowers that are more country and relaxed...if you see what i mean.

Sounds lovely Floristflo, much more fun . I've not experienced probs with gloriosa, it would be lovely in a shower bouquet, with Milano or Baccara roses, what about a bit of trailing asparagus fern with it? Cut off some of the leaves to make it a bit more delicate and airy. I wouldn't worry about your bouquet matching the reception, so long as it goes with your frock that's all that matters really.

Ah bless yr soul....i think ive sailed through wedding planning and now im having my bridezilla moment over my flowers of all things...i was always like o well at least i can do my own flowers ya ya....now im scared stiff!!

I agree with ddsflowers, you can't create your own WOW factor, as you will have already seen it.
That wow fator is what we strive to do as florists.
& you don't want to be so stressed as to not enjoy the day.

I know....think i will get someone else to make my bq and then do the rest myself...cant afford to get another florist to do all my flowers...im not getting married near where i live either..

i was told it was bad luck to make your own bouquet, but thats probably rubbish, tho i do have someone to make mine when i can afford to get married, took me 3 years to get my engagement ring, so probably a good 3-5 more before we even start talking about it lol, i would want something quite funky i think, i dont really have a favourite flower but i think i would want gerbera in it, i just could not justify paying someone i dont know to make my bouquet, i would make everything else though i think
