Wedding bq for a florist

Ok girls i would like to know if any of you have made your own wedding bq?
Or those of you not married would you?
Im getting married in august and im doing all my flowers for the day but im getting funny about my bq...not sure i want the extra stress...worried i will make it and re make it etc..
I know what i want but cant find any photos...i would like a modern trailing bq not to stiff looking either and not with tons of ivy...
If anyone has any photos that would help me that would be fantastic.

Wasn't a florist when I got married, think I'd quite like to make my own bouquet, though what to choose, so many lovely flowers and bouquet styles out there.

Can you describe a bit more the sort of thing you are after floristflo? Are you thinking something contemporary, on a wire base, delicate and detailed, or something in a foam holder but a bit more stylish than a trad shower? What flowers are you going to use?

Hey ...my head hurts thinking about it all,im having pinks and some lime greens, hydrangers and roses etc...my bq ...i would like a shower bq but a more modern version ive seen a few in the wedding flower mag, more long and thin in shape,it had butterflys in it too which was a bit much for me.So hard to explain what i mean.
I want peony's too but think they will just be to out of season or a mega price!

Yes, too late for paeonies sadly we had the last of the English ones last week though the dutch ones are still about they normally finish in July, we suggest large headed roses and hydrangea for the later summer brides wanting that look, Illusion or Sweet Avalanche roses, I looove the antiquey look of them, with poppy seed heads and firework grass and sedum, lovely faded textures. Probably not at all what you are thinking lol.... we use jasmine plants for more elegant trails than ivy. Stephanotis plants are nice too, unravelled off their frames and trailing, got a bit of weight about them and move nicely when you flounce down the aisle lol.

Shame about peony's have had them very late before but that was a few years ago now..they were very small too.
Jasmine sounds like a plan and i love Stephanotis, like all your ideas ..cant you do my flowers I really like china grass, not keen on bear or steal grass.
I have seen a wonderful bq with gloriosa...but o my god dont stop at the bus stop as they say.....one bit of sun and down they go!
Its so hard to choose...
Maybe i will go with hot pink lol
Thanks for you ideas it does help honest...x

Best one i know of was when we were married (after 3 kids) simple ceremony, very quick. A few weeks later wife said "why didn't i carry any flowers". Must admit i completely forgot about it in all the rush. Bit like the plumber with leaky taps at home.

I done my own flowers for my wedding and church flowers too, last july.

I tried a few florists in the area, but to be honest i felt on edge going in asking for pricelists and pictures.

it was a nightmare though, as i also done our venue with flowers and balloons and on my wedding morning was putting last touches to everything, which was a wow factor for everyone else but spoilt it for me, as i had already seen it!!!

if i was going to do it all again....... id pay someone to do it for me now.

suppose it depends if you know a florist that understands EXACTLY what you want. I'm not sure I'd want he hassle of doing all my own flowers,...but every florist has their own style and I'm not sure I'd want someone else doing my bouquet in particular!
ooh difficult...though I think i will not be too adventurous when it comes to my flowers cos I just love red roses, big grand prix ones!

If you go for hot pink gloriosa is fab, and would be very nice in a shower
