Shop paper

We get our shop paper from Zwapak thru our dutchman and he's just announced they've discontinued the colour - burgundy. Have spoken to Widdups and cos we use a 60cm wide roll, it's not their standard size and seems really expensive. Anyone recommend anyone else? We're just after a plain burgundy on brown kraft, nothing fancy.

I've got the Britannia catalogue here and all their kraft paper is 50cm wide too - is that what you guys all use? It seems really narrow, we often struggle with lilies and other long things with our 60cm wide rolls, wouldn't really want to go any narrower than that - ??

Keith Studley sounds like a character from Bo Selecta! Thats actually got nothing to do with anything really.

I use 50cm brown paper, never had any probs with it really even for long stems. You can add tissue for a bit of extra length so to speak.

So how do you wrap big things? Put 2 pieces together? Our counter is so tiny and always covered with crap that quite often we have to wrap market trader stylee in mid air, would struggle to do 2 pieces like that! Maybe I'm just being too fussy, I'm rubbish at wrapping cut flowers.

I had a customer get funny with me yesterday, I've got some funky trays from Bombay Duck and she says 'I like those' so I say 'So do I actually' so she says 'Well thats a mistake isn't it, you shouldn't buy what you like you should buy for the customer' told her 'I'm not willing to sell old tat and the customers like the stock' Refrained from being rude but is there any need for that! Theres a tat shop round the corner so the stigs can go in there.
