At least you've had customers! Our shop is so clean too so not much to do there.

I need to do my invoices for the month, once I start I'm fine but at the moment all I can think of is the chocolate cookies that I baked last night that are in my car and I'm trying to resist getting the box out!

And it's bloody raining now too. OTO, at least I will be out of the shop, my work exp woman is in today and she's a bit deaf, gets right on my nerves that! And what is it with putting stuff on the floor? Can you just tidy and redo the displays please? Oh, yeah, I'll just stick all the nice new stuff on the floor and leave all the oddments and bits and pieces on the benches looking a right dog's dinner!

My shops looking rather clean too. This is the prob when its quiet, thoughts turn to food! I've already demolished a yum yum and have a sandwich and crisps lined up for lunch. Might have to have soup too! Plenty of jobs to do but most involve spending money, makes me nervous spending when its so quiet.

Yeah I know what you mean, I hate spending money when it's quiet.

This time of year is always quiet for us, first couple of weeks of the summer holidays then it picks up a bit.

Well, today me and my friend who's a chef, have been plumbers, needless to say I now need to get the real thing in as we've made things worse. Joy.

Good luck with your plumber Alice, personally I think they are a myth as I have never actually seen one, you ring them up and they say 'yeah alright love I'll see you tomorrow morning', but then they don't appear and you end up wondering whether the conversation you had with them was all a dream.

My delivery run was an eye opener, gated roads with sheep and cows on them and all sorts. Had to go up to the local RAF base and there were Navy there too, that was nice, aren't they all so polite, and smart too, in their neat little uniforms .

Someone once told me if you ring five plumbers one will show up. Incredible. If someone was going to pay me a 100 squid for a couple of hours work I'd be there like a shot!

I bloody hate these gated developments, like fort knox. Got stuck trying to get into a place the other day so I asked an old couple to let me in, they got all snooty and said 'Well we shouldn't really' to which i replied 'Do I look like a burglar?!' Am sure the common thief doesn't boot round in a pink sign written van! Good cover though I s'pose.

Surprised the navy let you in, did they check all under your van and stuff?

ooh... nice, polite young men in uniform...makes a change to the scruffy oiks that usually come in the shop
