Its a great idea. One of the florists round here has a contract to do trees in all the suites of the v. posh hotel up the road. She also seems to have contracts for lots of big london hotels.

Most people don't have a clue how to dress a tree, I'm not a believer in tinsel etc, most trees look like an explosion in a dec factory! Shocking. Also poshos love to say, 'oh I have a girl come and do may tree don't you know, what what.'

one of my girls has had christmas tree decorating training!! can you believe it?! ha ha ha. She used to work in a garden centre and they put them on all sorts of courses.

ONE SOUR PUSS AT THE BACK SHOWED ME HOW SHE COLOURED HER WATER WITH FOOD DYE!? BLESS!

SERIOUSLEY THOUGH IT GAVE MY CONFIDENCE A REAL BOOST, THEY WERE LOVELY AND REALLY TRIED HARD. IM GOING BACK TO DO A XMAS TABLE ARRANGEMENT WITH THEM.

So pleased for you that the demo went well. You got me thinking about it too. Need to generate some cash and that seems a good idea. Hassle yes, but if it puts money in the till...I'm trying to decide what to do though. Vase a'ments like you, things in oasis or a handtied demo. Will def do a wreath one in November and table decs too. Can't quite get my head round the whole christmas thing yet!

They are always the new money type that behave like that, old money are usually very genuine! They help pass the time.

With regards to the demo, it was really rewarding to see them put into action what Id shown them. I definatley used a straightforward option of arranging a handtie and advising them on getting the best out of their flowers in a vase.

Even simple things like dont put them on your sunny windowsill got lots of them saying "oh thats why they dont last!!"

I talked about florist bought as oppposed to supermarket and dont knock the heads etc. I did get a few orders today from some that were there.
Im an actress at heart so i loved standing up doing my bit!

You'd enjoy it give it a go.

i'm gonna jump on your band wagon guys - i've already started chicken wiring my oasis rings for holly wreaths - started last week during a quiet spell!! We sold 26 12" holly wreaths, 38 14" and 8 16" (by the way I had to make most of those cos my girls are scared of holly!!) it was madness, we offered 10% off on all holly wreaths ordered before 15th Dec. Seemed to go down really well with the punters..

Does anyone have any pictures of wreaths they have made?
