I had this pain in the arse bride for an app the other day, i can't decide whether shes just being really tight or she is that stupid. she wants for her 'bouquet' one stem of white oriental lily, with ribbon bound down the stem and trailing..I had to persuade her to have some bear grass in it! and the same without ribbon for her maids!

i couldn't just say it'll look crap beause she had her heart set on it and every one of my nice pics she looked at she didn't like and even kept saying, 'i'd feel like a right numpty carrying that!'

whatever else i suggested she didn't like, i drew millions of little sketches...no didn't like any of them... i tired to explain the technicalities of having all the head open on one stem at once and if some heads opened on the day the pollen would stain her dress...i thought about wiring them but since she wants no foliage it will still look crap.

the minimum for a bridal bq is 50 quid which i think would get rid of her cos I think she hasn't got a clue how much things cost but if i charge 50 for hers how much for the maids just without the ribbon?

really i just DON'T WANT IT DO IT!!! i think it will look crap if the heads are not open properly, it will look crap wired and if they are open it will get horribly marked cos there's no foliage to protect it etc

think I might be a chicken and send her a letter but don't know how to tell her

agreed sarah- it will look crap and for all the reasons you've said. Does she want anything else?

Say your charging her £50quid as thats yr min....that will see her off..nothing else for it!!!

no thats the most annoying thing!!!! the reception provides arrangements and the church does as well!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

oh she wants about ten buttonholes...now i know why some shop have a min spend of £500 for wedding orders to stop people like her wasting my time!!!

its just I can't think of a way too tell her that won't make us look bad...if i say 50 quid she'll go off telling all and sundry how ridiculously expensive we are and if I tell her it will look crap she will still have a hissy fit!

So tell her one of yr silly staff has already book a massive wedding on that day and forgot to tell you ....recomemend some other poor soul ....!!
Or make it up(lol)and get her to come in show her how crap it looks...get one of the staff to walk by and say is that it!!

Actually I have seen something like this done with longi in a book once. It looked ok actually. Extra heads were wired on.

Alternatively order in the biggest white oriental you can lay your hands on and ask her again if that's what she really wants when it's stood shoulder high with 10+ heads on it.

I had some arsy bridesmaid trying to convince the bride to go for 3 rose posies for all of them. I politely explained it would look shi*e. Why don't they just listen? Don't fancy your job making sure the bas*ard thing is open perfectly on the day!

think i'll send her a letter saying unfortunately a previous wedding enquiry has now booked that date and we will be unable to do her flowers now
