Mishap of the day...oochh!
Don't want this to happen to any of you. Arm yourself with a metal thimble next time you push a pearl-headed pin in a tough stem when you are wrapping a bridal bouquet. today the pearl headed pin fell off and then the pin went through the side of my thumb and through the other side - narrowly missing my nail bed.
Any of you on the floor yet? No blood but boy did it swell up and throb. No time to sit and be nursed as wedding deliveries to be made. I did the grooms buttonholes and was met by a large huskey dog (friendly). Wedding boys very excited - probably a bit pissed - can I put on their Carnations. Well throbbing thumb couldn't do this very well. Could I please take a picture? Tried my best but a bit kackhanded - took second photo and was rudely interupted by the huskey dog sniffing my crotch - very, very embarassing but funny coulnd't wait to leave. Please remember a thimble all of you. Red wine now anethetising |
