Glass vases to display flowers?

I see in the gallery that some of you use tall cylinder glass vases to display your flowers. They do look elegant but how practical do you find it using them? Do you buy gallons of vialkall to keep them looking nice?

Is there a specific supplier or is it Ikea yet again?

Flowervision very good for that sort of thing. I have these metre tall cylinders too for long stems and things like Anthuriums that are hard to display and you can sell for thirty odd quid if the customers likes em. I love selling off my shop fittings!

I'd love to use glass vases for our flowers but I know the girls would constantly be chipping and breaking them as they're a bit clumsy.

Glass vases

I use mostly glass vases bought from Country Baskets, I have broken several being clumsy. I also have a stock from Matalan they were doing nice once for 6.00 each quite tall. Ikea another favorite.

We used to use glass for more choice flowers but it gets chipped and broken and takes up loads of room to store it when you don't need it. And our customers have a habit of helping themselves, it's a bit too risky!

You obviously haven't mastered the 'touch it and I kill you' stare. Works every time.

I nearly asked that on here the other day 'is it wrong to give kids evils?'!! An ankle biter that had been parked by the flowers the other day proceeded to kick at my stock. Not amused so gave it the stare.
