With the hot weather we have had all the flowers had been cut early, now at the auctions here there are not many flowers about so demand makes the prices high.

Not sure when it will stable out, I see today things start coming down slightly but roses are still very high, with September coming up I dont see prices falling that much.

Oh dear, I've not paid more than 35p for roses for ages,I don't think that's a high price, where do you get your flowers from

our flippin roses were ?18.00 a wrap for aqua this week thats 90p a rose plus VAT!!!!! someone along the chain must be making money out of that! don't know whats going on but it sure is crazy!

where r u situated,i will see if my dutchman calls in your are, I paid 35p for all my roses today,95p a bunch for xanth, 95p for best lily,and ?1.25 for bunch lily,sorry!!

Trust me nobody is happy with these prices.

The growers don't have much product at the auctions, so they are not benifiting. The exporters like us are struggling to get our margins because of the high prices. The shops are struggling because the prices are high, and shop trade is quiet (meaning more waste)

It's just unfortunately a supply/demand problem.

I was away on holiday for a couple of weeks. but now after a week, I feel like I could have another break already !!!!
