Normally i would put the phone down. This company phoned every tea time and late into the evening. Its as bad with international calls we get now.

I think there's some sort of blocking you can get for these calls - probably via your mates at BT Solly - don't know if it can be done on business lines or just residential.

Thanks for that I'll look into it. I've had a problem with our fax. We have been getting stupid faxes that wastes our carbon roll. I spoke to bt and they filled a form in that would take 28 days to remove us from a list that companies use.

we have the telephone preference service at home its about 30 quid a year and they take your name off all the lists people buy of phone numbers, it takes a little while for them to get you off all the lists but at least you can say we have the telephone pref thing and how did you get this number and then the mithering people go away sharpish, also if someone keeps calling you the service can take action for you
I keep meaning to sort it out for the shop as well but we now have an imaginery owner if someone is selling something even, if I answer the phone I say its Mrs brown you need..its very satisfying! sad I know but we must get at least five people a day mithering

Hi Sosas which service are you with? I'm registered with the TPS and it didn't cost me anything. Think the numbers in front of BT book and it's automated you can do it for faxes too, takes a while to take effect but worth it to stop the sales knobs phoning.
