I have estimated £300 pending final discussion with the chief cake architect at the cake shop, hoping that it might go away. I hate touching cakes, sticking stuff in em makes me really nervous cos it's a one hit, cock it up and that's hundreds of quid of cake up the swanney. She's having all sorts of fancy icing put on it too, from the sounds of it. It's all a long way from the M&S cake she was originally going to have. But then the whole wedding has spiralled uncontrollably, I reckon they must be up to sixty grand for the whole thing, her flower budget has tripled from the estimate on their budget spreadsheet that they foolishly left behind in the shop one day.
