yup you know when people ask you what you'd do if you won the lottery. I'd probably retire and just garden grow my own flowers and scrummy veg! I grew more veg last year before I had a shop, tomatoes, peas, carrots, parsnips, onions, potatoes things get a little neglected now and the slugs just eat everything thats not got barbed wire round it!

hehe, last year was a terrible one for slugs and snails for me, for the first time in years I didn't manage to grow runner beans successfully, they got munched in their pots before I could plant them out and didn't get round to resowing. This year's been pretty bad cos of the cold damp spring, I normally grow loads of chilis and peppers but nowt doing this year, they are just sulking in their pots, haven't grown at all.

I am not a very adventurous eater so I only grow what I like and what I might try, my runner beans last year were rubbish so this year I didn't bother with them and planted some sunflowers in that spot, they are huge! and just about to flower, though a pesky slug has munched the top off one..how do they get to the flippin top?
