REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY - November 8th.
Remembrance Sunday
Given the increasing number of our boys and girls coming home via Wootton Bassett, could I ask please each of you to make a special effort for Remembrance Sunday on November 8th, not forgetting that November 11 is on the Wednesday following and, for many, 11 o'clock on that particular morning has even more meaning than the Sunday. If you are minded to do a window display, I'm sure your local British Legion branch would be only to glad to help with a collection tin and poppies as well. We don't see or hear much of the hundreds who have come home crippled and disfigured, and not just from current conflicts. The Poppy Appeal funds a great deal of unseen care and comfort and they need more money as each year goes by. Please help if you can. Thank you. |

Rememberance day should be a national holiday in honour of the thousands of brave soldiers who do/ did so much for this country and we should do everything we can to show how much we appreciate what they do/ did for us.

A petition on the Downing Street website for such a holiday got over 500,000 signatures in just 6 months. Mr Brown just ignored it!
