Has anyone ever seen these on their travels - stachys byzantina - common name is lambs ears. I picked up a box of them dyed a lovely sage green yonks ago and have no recollection where they came from. I managed to persuade my shoe bride to have them covering her wire shoes for her table centres foolishly without checking we had enough to do the job.... . I've rung round all the wholesalers who all think I am barking, apart from Peter Harvey who very helpfully have sent me a box of minging dried statice . So if you could all keep em peeled for me and let me know if you see them anywhere I'd be v grateful!

Rosa have used fresh lambs ears to cover a bag if you can get your hands on them works well but you need cold glue

Rach, where do you get your fresh stachys leaves? No one seems to have heard of it.

Raid friends gardens if I'm doing any deliveries always have a nosy at the gardens and try to remember what they have then go back tell them I'm doing a competition and would they let me have some foliage most of our customers are only to willing to help find the stachy leaves mostly on older peoples gardens
