Rosa, I suppose if it supports our farmers its a good thing. I read up a bit about buying british and it prob uses more energy to heat our greenhouses than fly /get flowers here from abroad. I do think the discerning customer knows the difference between supermarket stuff and what we do but that prog prob didnt help much. Cant wait to see it now!

I ad visitors about 10 minutes into the programme so ad to turn it down,,left it on tho so cud see the picture!! was very put out at unexpected company,,I'm quite anti-social sometimes,,would have been ok if it had been friends who would have a gin with me but no it was brother in law and girlfriend,,tee total,,tea all round then!! I got the drift of it all tho.

I do have a few english things but have to be honest I find them quite weak and useless some of the time. I kind of agree with the season argument in a way but times have changed and folks want what they want when they want it. Would also be impossible to execute relay orders with just seasonal/english stuff!!

we have the same english alstro as elouise but that's the only grower we buy direct off, though one of our suppliers has english stocks, dahlias, gladi, sunflowers, asters and lilies at the mo some have been very good, I'd rather go and choose them as the size and quality can be unpredictable from week to week

i would love to get english peonies do they deliver them rosa for next year
