Gates of Heaven
Ok heres the deal. The only one of these I have ever done was in college, and that was based on a hedgerow. (Quite pleased with it actually). anyway have never based GOH but have an order for Monday. Have looked through all my reference books and not a single one - HELP -HOW MANY STEMS DBLE XANTHS DOES IT TAKE!!!! Don't want to overorder but am worried about leaving myself short. It is the equivalent of a large pillow, for example. Any offers?

If you really want to, you can also spray paint the tacky gates and cross on top a lovely silver or gold. Make sure your gates are open (to let the soul in
 ) and I think two sprays are a bit too much, go for one big one on the right and a small secondary placement on the left. Well, thats my opinion but you're the creator!!  this is quite a nice example!

sorry! yes you did ask that originally- I got carried away having fun laughing at other peoples idea of floristry!
OK, I'd say about 8 -that would be a big headed double AYR like a zembla, euro double about 12. Lets see what other people think...anyone??!

Thanks Jo think I'll go for the 12 as my supplier is not likely to have the big ones at short notice. Quite looking forward to it actually. First a bingo card and now this! The joy never ends. (seriously - I love funeral work)

I normally go for 3 packets of 5 stems for a letter... letting the heads open a bit
So I'd say go for 6-8 packets. Are you basing the back too? Does the back get based? If so get a bit more.Would be quite nice with a mossed back Always better to slightly over order cos at least xanths last and you can put them out as bunches  Hope thats helpful x
