Big Thank You and a Sorry
Thank you all for your comments - everyone has been very positive.
I'm sorry if there has been any confusion over the postings - it's definitely my fault for using the same thread when there was a lapse time!!! It's so easy to get these mails out of sequence! I did appreciate that Floralpride's post last August was an open, genuine enquiry at the time. In fact I've got a feeling that it was one of her posts that drew me to your fab site at the time when I was listing sites that had mentioned the magazine. A BIG BIG thank you to Kate for your glowing endorsement - it's great to know that you are getting a good response back from the magazine and your contribution has been much appreciated - please keep up the great work. Thank you to everyone who is posting - please keep going - don't forget to add your signatures including your website address to your posts. Sorry for the lengthy email - i have rambled on a bit! I don't mean this as an insult but it's all very well us answering questions about flowers for weddings brides may have, however at the moment there seems to be quite a trend of brides doing their own flowers...I don't know if I would like to pay to give my advice. Have you any feedback from florists saying that being a part of your magazine has helped them gain more wedding orders? Or is it just a way for you to make your magazine look better while making a few quid on the advertising?
Honestly please don't take this post the wrong way but I'd like to know all angles before considering it...

I have the same concerns, I went into the site to see what it was all about and I read a post from a brides mother "doing her own buttonholes" wanting advice, that was as much as I wanted to read. If brides want advice why arent they asking the florist that is doing their flowers? thats what i dont get so this leads me to beleive that its 'have a go' people picking our brains

I have a concern
I read through some of the Q & As on website. Is it beneficial to florists for a reply on DIY wedding bouquet to, admittedly in brief and without any true insight as to how to prepare etc., basically tell them how to make a posy.
It has been my understanding of Floristnews posts that genuine florists have been having quite a hard time competing with 'one and all' to get brides to entrust an important part of their very special day to someone qualified and experienced. I would have prefered the reply to add that on such a special day, bearing in mind the photos will be with you forever, a florist will be able to provide exactly what you require, so no stress and disappointment. JMO
