Hi All
Mr Tumnus and Apple and Mardy - thank you for your posts! I hope that my answers below will help to clarify. First of all it's completely free to post on the forum and I think it is a good way to engage directly with brides early on in their decision making process whilst they are still looking for ideas. Posting with your signature including your web address should help drive traffic to your site - posts stay open for a long time and get viewed many times. We actually get very few questions from brides who ask about how to create their own flowers - most brides simply want to be prepared with ideas on colours or designs before they approach their florist and of course it is fun to think about colours and themes. I always like to do a bit of research first before purchasing something new so I don't ask too many dumb questions! Mardy I think you have it just right - I think that brides will decide to create their own flowers whether advice is offered or not but perhaps if we answer their questions but gently suggesting that to have fabulous flowers without stress or broken discoloured nails and rough hands! on such an important day might not be the way forward. At the worst you might gain a reputation for being really approachable and helpful or at best convert a diy bride to the right way of thinking! Mr Tumnus I do have some info on the figures of visitors to wedding florist websites but please pm me if you want to have further info if that's ok as it does seem a bit wrong to quote them here? Just to summarise the forum is really new and it's free. Thanks again |
