I'm newly registered on the forum and already looking for help!! I'm editor of My Wedding Flower Ideas magazine and we're looking for a willing florist to join our expert panel of "Wedding Florists"

We have many questions from brides each week - looking for help advice and inspiration about their flowers. We then feature their answers in the magazine in our Wedding Flowers Q&A section along with a link to the florist who's answered the question.

And I bet you put the link there out of the goodness of your heart and there's no charge. If there is a charge its just another way of covering up the fact you're selling advertising.
I might be speaking too soon but i'd bet money i'm not, why can't people selling advertising just come out and say it, tell us what its about how good it is etc then i'm sure all us boys and girls are big and clever enough to work out for ourselves if we want it.

Hi Cath.
I know your magazine quite well, in fact I use it online regularly.
I thought you had quite a few experts on there, giving hints and tips or do your brides want 'real' florists that are working with 'real' brides and their questions.
Sorry, that sounds a bit off hand, but I can't think of any other way to word it.
I think it is a good online resource and have told many of my brides about your mag.
(Cant afford to advertise with you though)

I've just had the phone book rep here for 30 mins trying to get me to advertise with them though!
sales pitches are all the same aren't they?! I've got a trainee here and shes just listened to the whole meeting, after the rep left I said "I'm not going to phone her back" my trainee said "why did you listen to her for half an hour if you knew you weren't going to advertise with them?" bless her! the thing is, I explained, is that you can either nod and make encouraging noises for 30 mins whilst they get their scripted sales pitch out or I can be honest and keep saying no to the point of making us all feeling uncomfortable.

or you can be right up front joe blunt and say ,,,ooooiiiii,,yellow pages woman,,,NNNOOOOOO!!

First of all sorry for any offence caused!!

We do currently have experts but we are also getting lots and lots of questions it's quite a challenge to answer all of them and we'd really like to help out the all the brides who contact us not just a select few.

If you are interested it would be completely free to you - in exchange you'd get a link to your site.

There are also lots of other ways to feature for free: We are always looking for great content and pictures - we are particularly interested in venue decorations and table centrepieces for our next issue - Our real weddings section is another area where you can feature your work (free). So send us some pictures of your work!!

I looked at your suppliers listing, £50 for a standard listing is quite expensive. Would you offer a discount to florists registered to this site?
