Well girls and a few boys

I've once again sent e-mails, letters to try and get a job.

I'm not to proud to beg, PLEASE PLEASE anyone reading this post if you are anywere near Andover in Hampshire consider me for a job, even a Saturday position would be great.

I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever get anything, I'm starting my 2nd year NVQ Lvl 2 in Floristry in a few weeks and SOOOOOOOO want some work experience and put what I've learned so far to some use.

Ohh pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease I'm honest, reliable and trustworthy, kind, caring and hard working :wink:

belinda i have a job going but you know where i am based in cheshire and its 2 to 3 days minimum wage etc... any good

Oh Bel you need to go into shops letters, e-mails are just left lying go to them and torture them now would be good time as kids are going back to school so maybe there would be an opening and keep going every few weeks somebody will have something ask wholesalers if you know any GOOD LUCK

Have you been able to build any relationships with florists over the last year or so when you've been doing your course? Does your tutor know of anything going? I know its hard, but keep at it - something will come up. :smile:

Oh Belinda I know we all feel for you.As Rach says you need to go into the shops yourself. My Daughter in law just walked in and asked the owner if there was a job going, she also said she would work for free for 2 weeks to see if she was ok.She has been there now for 6 months and loves it. Youwill find a place just need to pester.

I'm so embarassed to go into the shops, have done it a few times and hate to keep pestering. I'll have to get some courage from somewhere.

Potty, wish I was in Cheshire I'm sure I would learn alot from you too.

The tutor does not know of any either, most of the students had placements before they started the course. Have a new tutor now, so maybe she will know of someone.

Bel, I think its about building up a relationship with a florist - I would go in and get your school flowers, let them know your studying but may be don't ask outright until you've been in a few times and they have got to recognise you etc. Good luck, keep us posted :smile:
