Do many florists deliver Out of hours and Sundays??
Just wondering how many of us out there deliver Sundays or out of hours...Like 8pm Friday night to a restaurant, OK they paid extra and were happy to do so and I wasn't doing anything so took the extra cash.

I wouldn't really unless it was a very special customer I'd try and get round it somehow like send it to the restaurant earlier with instructions

![]() You're also right lisa they don't flippin appreciate it anyway...I had a company phone the other day asking for delivery after 8pm I was like ...er... NO! ...do you work all day from 8am till 9 at night?! (in my head) actually said "no madam we close at 5pm" and another wanting delivery out of my area anyway at 9am, not even for a funeral!! luckily the florist in the area was very helpful and it hleped that the order was a hundred and odd quid ![]()

I totally agree with what Elouise said, that happens all the time and really annoys me.
I never deliver before 9am or after 6pm (unless it suits me, which it rarely does) Never on a Sunday, unless its M day etc and then I charge an extra £4.50 and no one bats an eyelid at it, I never ever deliver on a bank holiday Monday. If someone wanted a delivery at 8pm I'd say no unless it was a £100 order and I'd lose the order if I didn't. |

We have done special deliveries on Sundays but it is only for very special events and good cutomers. We had one a few weeks ago. A women wanted some balloons for a christening. The wife told the girl she would be at the shop on the Sunday morning doing some jobs so she would blow them up for her. That Sunday we didn't wake up till late. The wife shot out of bed and shot off to the shop so as not to let the girl down. When the wife got to the shop she called the girl to say sorry she was a bit late. The girl ranted and raved on the phone to the wife saying how she had stressed her out and that we had almost ruined the christening. The wife appologised but the girl was not having any of it. On the monday the girl came into the shop to have another go but the wife was not in at the time. The woman blew it all out of proportion over half a dozen blue latex balloons. The christening was not till 3 O'clock and the wife called the girl at 1pm.
We no longer do any favours now Sunday is for spending time with the family. |

even though people say i want it at this time, they usually will accept that its just not possible, i never guarantee delivery time unless for a funeral
