Here it is fairly common practice for elderly people and those sick and expecting the end to pre arrange with a funeral home their service, including flowers. You just have to be the florist that the funeral home calls (if they don't specify).

Now that is interesting Rock. I know that the Co-Op Funeral Care who are a big national Funeral Directors do a package for their customers to plan ahead. They pay by weekly installments sometimes many years before they expect to die. I guess the problem with florists doing the same thing is that unless you are a national company you cannot guarantee that you will still be around that long
ps. I lived in Canada when I was a small child, what a beautiful country.

Puts me in mind of an order we received thru relay which was placed about 4 months in advance, hubby delivered flowers on due date and it turns out the lady who sent them knew she'd be gone by her friends birthday so ordered her a huge bouquet as a surprise!

all this talk of death how depressing can't see it catching on really celtic but you had me in stitches but if ant are like me they'd be changing the colours and flowers every 6 months and whats saying the florist they ask for is still around!!!
my nanna is very poorly with cancer in hosp not looking good at all so when she goes i want to do the flowers but as shes in liverpool i may not get the chance its sounds if its just a waiting game and we all expected it'd be grandad as hes just waiting to go
god cheer me up am all depressed now

So sorry about your Nanna. When you are told that the end is near there are few words of comfort that mean anything. I had the same thing with my Mum and Dad and the waiting if so awful.

So sorry Potty, same thing with my grandparents a few years back, Nanna in hospital with cancer, then year later Gramps was on the same ward with cancer, very very hard time, my thoughts are with you

Potty, Think I can safely say we all feel for you - rotten I know but just try and hang on to all the lovely memories you will always hold

problem is the family fell out a few years ago and thank god my dad is a bigger man and went to thier needs even if it took 3 weeks to tell us well my lil sis is ging over for the weekend so pleased as she was a lil girl when she last saw them so hopefully we can make sme contact before its to late
