Cheer up, of course you are a florist
I cant really answer your question as the student thing is different in Denmark. Students has to go to trade college 2 years ,then 2 years in a flower shop.. But the shop has to be approved, that means, i think ,that there has to be a trained florist in the shop. It often of course is the owner. Maybe its just a teacher with a conscience who wants to make sure the student actually learn something![]()

At our colleges no one assesses the florist, us student just fill a form in and get the florist to sign and give details of their insurance etc. Blimey it's hard enough getting student places without the colleges giving the florists agg, anyway it's not for you to teach them, that's what the college is for, they should be with you for the experience.

It sounds like they did work experience and then the college want to check you out. I had said I'd take one on and when the college visited and started asking bloody stupid questions I told her to stick it (not big or clever but was one of those days!) I've also got a P/ter whos at college and the tutor came in and checked out my insurance etc. Is this what you mean Abi?

I have a work experiencer one day a week. The college came out to see me to check my insurance certifcate and just to touch base really with what I was supposed to be doing with her. Also, probably to check the shop actually exisited and the student wasn't just skiving off a day a week and getting her mate to sign off her paperwork! There were a couple of forms to complete too, just health and safety stuff.
