Round mirrors for the vases

Hello everybody. I need your advice, my bride wants round mirrors between 30-40 cm for the vases to go,(13 in total).Do i have to charge her for them,
because they are £5 each, and i am not sure if i am going to use them in the future. I did a quote for her and later on she is asking for the mirrors.

Yes if you don't have a use for them I would although they could be reused for other weddings window/shop display arrangements in shop maybe use them in a planted arrangement

Dawn, I rent vases out to the brides, but if they wanted a vase that I knew I would be unlikely to use again they would have to either buy them from me or provide the vases themselves. You cannot afford to give them away or be left with stock that you will never use again.
Be honest with the bride and tell her that you have no use for them yourself but you can get them for her at (whatever they cost to you plus your profit) I usually offer the brides a discount if they are buying the vases from me but that is at your discretion. Good luck with the wedding.

Yes Rach, it's a good idea to use them in windows displays, especialy for Christmas, but each wedding they want different type of vases, now these mirrors, i think it's time to start charging for them.

Definately charge even if using them again. a rental charge is perfectly feesable as it covers for breakages. you can use them again for weddings/functions and as long as you have room to store them you can offer them to your other brides who might not have thought of it

Oh my we never let anyone have anything unless there is a charge in place even if they are having a vase of flowers on tables we have a little added in the flowers for vase and a deposit for the vases (deposit covers cost of vases)if and when they come back to us in condition they go out they then get MOST not all of their deposit back

We charge rental too but also have a clause to say that any breakages or vases not returned have to be paid for in full and it's surprising how many guests think they can help themselves to the table decs

hello dawn, as the others have said definately charge a hire fee (and deposit) for your mirrors and vases, unless of course she wants to buy them off you When any changes are made to quotes we send a revised quote for their approval. I put a star by anything hired on my quotes and a note at the bottom saying the star denotes hired items to avoid any confusion later.
