OK Answers to the Questions:
It is a real wholesaler. Whilst I was there somebody turned up with not enough paperwork and was turned away. No ordinary punters in there. You have to have a business, no home workers or none VAT registered in there. This is their new multi million pound new place. There old place in the centre of town was cramped. This was purpose built, even has a nice cafe to relax 1/2 way through your shopping, have a cold beer or wine and then continue shopping My only gripe with them is the variation of there wrapping paper which is very poor for such a big place and hasn't changed in 2 years It takes 2 hours @80mph to get from the tunnel E40 all the way, including a diesel stop. It is about 140 miles near to Antwerp. Then again if you are not used to driving on continent it may take longer. I am very used to it and don't have to think to much about which side to drive on ![]() Ref changing from Euro to £ - I have a big excel spreadsheet for when we get home. Put in the price in euro it does everything else for me and whilst there use the 70p per euro conversions so easy in my head. You have to fill in the correct form on your VAT every 3 months then get sent another from the Euro vat office, so more paperwork. As for payment just wack in my Company Visa card and press those numbers. Then wait for the pages and pages of output from the till. That took 10 mins to print as they have a dot matrix printer. Really p*ssed of the people behind printing 11 pages ![]() I just went round click click nobody challenged me so just carrried on !! There were only about 4 people working there and it was quiet cos they had an open day on the Sunday !! You can get 3 Tesco equivelent trollies side by side down 1 aisle fully loaded. I have mastered this skill, like tugs going up the canals over there !! anything else feel free to ask... chris |
