We have a customer who orders a bouquet for his wife every year for their anniversary. Each year it gets bigger, cos he wants the bouquet to contain the same quantity of a different flower variety for every year they have been married, this year they have been married 15 years, so we did
15 x one thing
14 x another thing
13 x yet another thing
12 x another entirely different thing
and so on, sorry, been a long day and can't recall the specifics of what flower went where hehehe!

Have to say we have actually started to cheat and count the heads on multi headed things like santini and spray roses etc instead of the actual stems of flowers. It was a whopper today, weighs a ton and took 2 of us to finish it.

What interesting wedding anniversary gifts have you been asked to create?

I remember a story along the same lines. No idea if I heard it on here so I apologise if this is old, inaccurate or a florist myth ! A guy wanted to propose to his other half so he decided to send a bouquet every month and play a kind of russian roulette. He had the florist write out all the cards, one of which was 'marry me?', the florist got to send them out randomly but the guy bottled it. Couldn't cope every month not knowing if he was going to pop the question!

But would you want a husband like this?

'I'd like a bouquet delivered for £20, its for a girl I'm trying to lure, so can you make it roses, please sign the card ?'
'Can I also have a £15 BQ for the wife'.

Creep or what???
If it was my shop I would loved to have refused him.

If he was in my shop he'd have been given my best paddington stare and asked to repeat a bit louder cos I is a bit deaf .

What an a***! At least order them at different times if you really must!

cant remember if I told yous this but I had to dump some lassie for this guy who told me to "just make something up" for the message and when I asked the occassion he said "I'm dumping her...". When I told my husband this he asked how much the guy spent, I replied £30 - my hubby said "what a bloody waste - I won't spend that when I dump you" - clearly I married him for his charm.

Thats outrageous though! Are you sure it wasn't Scott Mills from Radio 1?
