I'm a bit like that - sell all sorts of bits and bobs to the church ladies and a couple of others in the village that flower arrange but although i expect they do get some of their flowers from the supermarket - its 10 miles away and so when they only buy some spray cars or Xanths and say they've raided their gardens, i tend to believe them. They appreciate the service and take a pride in remembering me when they prune. . . i get some gorgeous free foliage!
Although Village life doesn't have the passing trade that you townies have, i'm beginning to feel from the posts on here that i'm the lucky one. My customers have the attitude that why should they go anywhere else when they have a shop in the village.
I'll never get rich here - but its a very pleasant place to be!
