......customers coming in with arms full of flowers from the local supermarket just to buy a small 25p gift card!!! I get that alot cos we have a morrissons are just round the corner from me.I find in quite insulting really.

I don't sell my flower gift cards...they only go on MY flowers! but I have an excuse cos all mine have my name and address on the back

I will sell mine but I make a big show of hacking off the back bit so my name isn't on it. They always look shocked.

Always put my sticker on back, and won't sell cards, other florist round corner did that, and wow the problems she got when customer came to complain about her (tesco) flowers , just a nightmare

I've got folding ones and I cut the name off for that very reason. In fact I announced that to a shop full the other day after a lady took one, something along the lines of 'I dont want my name on her old s***'.

yeahhh,,all the time,,,we tell em to bog off!! in a nice polite way. I haven't paid good money to have thousands of cards to be printed with my name and details to go selling them to bloody anybody. ggrrrrrr,,aaarrrrgggghhhh.

i once had someone who came to buy foam to make her own arrangement, and she said she was using flowers from her garden.... i then had to go out for a few minutes... and i passed her car... low and behold a whole load of tesco flowers lying on her backseat.

yeah that's why my oasis is 2 quid now...if they want it that bad they can pay or pay to park in the centre of town and hike to hobbycraft!

we have a market in town on a friday with a massive flower stand they walk past shop with there arms full of flowers, used to really annoy me.
the flowers are s--t and dont last but people buy for cheapness.
what really annoys me as well as asking for cards is when they ask for cello
so i offer them the 10 metre clear cello rolls for 9.99, and the oasis on a tray for 7.50. (dont sell any as to dear) wont sell them cards send them to clintons, who dont sell them.
no florists in my town sells the sundries
