back to the paper thing though,,,my local newspaper have taken to ringing me for "comments or views" on local concerns or issues. I couldn't understand why so asked. They said that if you are featured or offered opinions or anything you are on their system and then when they need any comments or whatever in your area they just look at who they have spoken to before and go back to them. I get asked about all sorts of things now but I'm a bit useless at it,,never seem to have my brain with me when they ring!!! Was also on the radio last xmas cos won 2nd prize in the town window competition (charity shop always gets 1st prize) and when asked my name I said my proper name but added without thinking that it was a bit too posh for my town!!!! Boy did I feel stupid,,,definately an "I carried a watermelon " moment!!! I got some stick for that.

But anyway,,if you can get yourselves known to your local paper they will come back to you regularly and so you get your name in print again and again,,,for free!! And if its free,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,its for meeeee!!!

ann apparently the strike might be off they are going to put a deal to the vote, we'll have to wait and see

Have put our fishing lines out with the editor of the local rag...seems positive at the moment...personally even if the strike ends, good publicity no matter what!
