I had a guy in last week, wasnt a full on H&S thing, just for my P/Ters apprenticeship thing. They are hot on everything. I got the right hump. I know they are doing a job but jeez, pernickety isn't the word. You need to wrap your staff in cotton wool and forget the term 'common sense'. You need to label the entire shop and have an escape plan. Like it wouldn't be free for all to get out?

I own a florist in wickford. It may seem a lot of money each month, but they do all the risk assesments, all the staff contracts, company , health and safety manuals personalised for the shop, fire risk assesments and lots more.
I didn't know that you should have a data sheet in the shop for things like chrysal liquid flower food and even for cans of leaf shine.

Our visit was last Thursday and we passed with flying colours. He was very impressed with all the signs (put up day before). The only thing he said was missing was a health and safety poster...suppose he had to say something was wrong otherwise wouldn't be doing his job
