Post Fresh Holly/cut...how to keep fresh...

please once Holly/cut bought ...how to keep it fresh....it normally comes in plastic bags......same question for pines/ coniferous wreaths... etc.

anything that comes packed in a bag leave it in it. Don't bother putting any stems in water, stick them all outside in the cold, I have a shed in my back yard at the shop which is perfect- dark and cold. Materials such as pine and cupressus last for weeks- months even stored in this way. You could easily pick holly in the next couple of weeks for use during christmas if stored outside.
