my daughter and i did the flowers for her wedding, the way we managed was by showing exactly what we wanted to someone that we trusted, so that on the day she and her friends did the work. The only thing that my daughter really wanted to do on her own was the boquet which she did and it really relaxed her alot on the day, so if you really want to do it on your own, show your girl what you want before , so that on the day yo can be sure that she does the work that you want and this way you will be happy with the result.
