xmas opening closing etc
i have just had an equiry regarding taking a wedding on dec 28th this is a wedding not in my area but not too far to turn down but the lady has been turned away form florists in her area i have had this before i am going to say yes but will explain that the flowers won't be as fresh as a normal wedding as the dutch sellers are not open till after this time (i think) but i will get them fresh for xmas eve as this is the closest time i can get them and this shouldn't cause a problem the only problem is the price of red flowers etc...
So my question is would you turn it down or take it???? |

Definately take it, we always have at least one wedding between xmas and new year, and you should be able to get fresh flowers. Our first del after xmas is normally 28th. We are usually busy in the shop too, as most of the other shops round us close this week

i'm planning on closing the shop that week (only week of the year) but i'd still take the wedding. Be nice to do one without having to worry about the shop!

Definitely take it on Potty - business is business.

just found out that a fresh del is due in over night that day lucky but does cause probs as can't do it the day before so what i am thinking is ordering in for before we close and have back ups if anything dies before the day and of course takes the price up more but hey if noone else wnats it sound more rep for me

I suppose it depends if you are normally open then potty. We close so I would prefer not to have a wedding then. Obviously flowers are extortionate at that time so as long as they are willing to pay and you are willing to make it then go for it. I did one once the day after boxing day which meant I had to work boxing day and it was a hike into manchester, wouldn't do that again even though the money was good, boxing day is family time
