Unhappy valentines day

hello, this is my 1st post- HOORAY!!!

what does everyone think about the price of valentines roses this year? they are a lot more then last year (10-20p up on last years prices)? I can't believe teleflorist and interflora (don't know about flowergram) have decided to promote an actual rose variety on their POS (passion), what a stupid idea- if anythings going to push up the price even more its thousands of florists all fighting to get their hands on one variety of rose.
Who loses in the end?..... us mug florists of course, having to take the risk of guessing how many flowers to buy in, not making money beacuse the relay company has told US how much you can charge for the bouquets, paying staff a fortune to work all night to get them made up and spending all day delivering to people who don't even have the courtesy to be in when we call to deliver!!!
I'm dreading this val day, i'm finding it very difficult to gauge how much to buy in compared to last years order. January has been diabolical for us, the worst since we started. I blame it on the intrest rates and the fact we have just had a new ASDA (and thats a whole new post!), nobodys got any spare cash at the moment! Do I order less or the same?...another thing to lie awake worrying about!!!
