I would ring the customer and ask her, she will probrably appresiate having the choice. There is also the paper ribbon as an option as well as raffia. I have some lovely bitty wool in the shop that I used to bind canes with for an arrangement, that would be natural too.

I also get asked frequently for single rose.
I tend to put a piece of gyp behind the rose to frame it and tie either a small ribbon bow or raffia bow to hold it in place.
They always seem to love the extra touch and it warrents the price I charge
