Valentines roses....yes already!
Its official, I'm going crazy!

This valentines will be my first in my own shop. I've worked in florists over the valentines period, but never really got an idea of how much we actually paid for anything.

Can anyone give me a very rough idea of how much I can expect to pay for roses? Definitly Grand Prix and not sure what other variety I'll use just yet!

oooh expensive!! grand prix was the dearest cos everyone has jumped on the GP band wagon inc M&S.

think they were nearly 2 quid 80cm, I'm gonna try with red naomi this year

Anyone come across Bordeaux before ordered some for this week but not tried it before. Like the Naomi ones they seem to last well nice shape as well.

ooo I had bordeaux last week, should have kept one to see how long they lasted but they all sold in a day, full shapped heavy headded rose. They aren't a bright red colur like a naomi but same sort of head size and shape.
I also will be ordering naomi for vals and passion for cheaper option.
(passion usually £1- £1.25 stem 70cms)

I bought bordeaux last week. The colour was beautiful, a really dark dark red. I still have a few left (quiet weekend!), they have opened beautifully and seem to have lasted pretty well.
