am i mad to consider taking 2 weddings on on the sat of mothersday i have not sorted staff out for xmas yet but in my head i am saying NNNNNOOOOOOOOO but my 2nd head says yes you love stress of weddings and motherday

do i really want to do them yes but i know i may well have a nervous break down

Potty, I took 2 weddings this mother's day, bridal party only. Had a full compliment of staff in too. Was a total and utter nightmare, never doing it again, no matter how nice the flowers they want and how sweet the bride hehehe.

OMG yes Potty you are 1 ok yes with mother's day and 1 wedding stress levels will be high and that would be enough to cope with without a 2nd wedding what IF you have still not had success with staff or you succeed and they turn out to be useless/walk out pull a sickie to many if and buts for me also you have children so late nights possibly an all night with wedding how do you get it delivered?? we will all be knackered but need a little energy when it is finished for family. Know what you mean about the stress factor I to thrive on it and just love busy busy periods but def not 2 weddings in the position you are at the moment but then I would be afraid to take the risk

i have now got help with a lady who owned her own flowershop and unfortenly had to give it up i have my college student the lady has said she will help out over xmas and md and vals day so i have a little help there but unsure on any extra help could maybe train my mum hehe (not) but she can gift wrap last year we were up on the fri till midnight and 2am on sat but if i got another freelance florist in for md i maybe able 2 to both and md oreders ????? you see me still considering it sorry keep trying to talk me out of it
oh and the 1st one hasn't paid dep yet so have called her she is ringing back in a hour so it may be a no yet???

personally i think you would have to be crazy to do both the weddings and md aswell.

we are always in chaos here at the office at md (and xmas) so i can imagine how much busier you florists are.

There would be so much work for you and you wouldnt get to see your kids as much

If you did get a freelance florist will she work for free I think not so what profit would second wedding bring you. If it was viable moneywise and you have definately got a freelance who has agreed to help out then and only then would I take the booking but no way would I accept until I was sure

Wise move Potty. I would never ever have considered weddings on MD or VD. You can make as much as you want on those days without the extra hassle. As much as you might love doing weddings and yes, we all need the money, you just don't need that sort of stress. You would go insane. Don't ever feel you are letting people down by saying no. It was their choice to use that date..not yours.
