I had a brainstorming session with myself to come up with new ideas for the store and came up with this, I don't know if its all that new but I'm gonna give it a go:
A Flower Calendar for my customers who have a bad time remembering their loved ones birthdays etc. We will be having a little black book in the shop with names and dates and addresses of recipients whose betterhalves and boyfriends and sisters etc. have put in a order with us (and either paid for in advance or will be getting a bill for). We will have noted the recipients birthdays or wedding anniversaries and a few comments to likes and dislikes and make a gift accordingly. The men (and women) who forget the special occasions often then don't have to rush in a five minutes before closing time and take what they can get! (we have alot of forgetful folks!)
I have already introduced this to my customers and have gotten amazing feedback(especially from the men!) and have already gotten some orders. Our target is to make their lives easier! We will be sending either an e-mail or text message to them when the arrangement or bq has been delivered so they know whats going on.
4 customers have already paid in advance for this service! We have orders for end of December and January and February! I will be putting an ad in the paper announcing this. As I am a florist who HATES standard bqs etc. we will not be having a photo list of what is available, rather we will be making each gift individually suited for recipient. I have charged an extra fee for delivery, but the customer can pick it up if he/she wants. Again they will recieve notification that its ready for pick-up.
I think I've worked out all the kinks but would be grateful if anyone has further ideas or potential problems I haven't though of!
thanx,
