It is very hard to find a partner that will do their share of the work. I personaly would not get involved in a partnership again after my own experience and what I've seen others go through. It really is very risky, particularly if you don't have someone in mind who would be a suitable candidate.

I would not even consider it it is a bad mistake. I went into partnership with someone 10 years ago and it was a disaster. never again. She was a close friend i had for years but it still didnt work. So if you are considering someone you dont know its even harder. Dont go there what ever you do. Pay for a advertising consultant are business manager at least that way you still have full control of your business

I wouldn't go down the partner route either. Bad news. You really should be able to leave your part timer so you can do other things. Not necessarily going and putting your feet up, but paperwork, getting stock, ordering etc. Its not easy leaving your precious business with someone else but you are paying them so they should be able to get on with it. If you dont trust them they shouldnt really be there at all. Good luck with it.

Thanks
I know I have to trust and usualy I do ![]() I think I just want to hear all this bad experience. The problem is I do a bitt different things as like other florist in town and it is take long time for me to train my staff, so usualy I spend lots of time with floristry. I think I have to learn to be boss

Thats the main problem for a lot of us. We are creative and have so many avenues that we would like to explore but don't have the time or money. Even having someone to listen to you and discuss the ideas helps, that's why this forum is such a great place. We all support each other and advise on all aspects of this job.
Yeah it would be great to have someone else to share the burdon, but what happens if they don't have the same vision as you, your ideas are veetoed, you don't get on with them after a while or they stay around long enough to learn your trade, tricks and talent then go off and open a place of their own? I think best to stay alone and use us here to sound off to and ask advise. We don't have any ulteria motive, but to help each other |

I agree with others, bad move to concider a partner, you have worked your socks of to get were you are now, If its finance thats stopping you get a loan or a grant from the goverment, there is grants available for small business to expand in my area . try business link they helped me a lot 5 years ago and there there to help. dont let your ideas fall by the weyside, do it now as tomorrow never comes.
Hope im barking up the right tree, and good luck . |
