Thanks for your replies, sorry for not replying sooner.

Fizzytwig - I'm doing the NCFE floristry level 1. I think the trip is primarily to benefit the full time students, but they are letting us nightschoolers tag along as well.

Bellis D - That street sounds fab, any tips on how to find it?

I asked my friend, but she could not remember.
but the street is in the center of town Im sure.
try asking when you get there. the guide most know. try give the dicribtion I told you.

I remember seing a lot of the old houses and enjoying the architecture.
The old houses have rather small fronts/facade. this were because of the taxrate. they (the dutch)paid taxes after how big the front were.

and the top of the front, (before the roof) leens out, or like come out from the house, so it looks like it will fall down.
this was so they could easy get the big stuff in, like piano or something, they put a thing in the top of the roof and then they like hoist in the furniture. because of those very small and not wide houses. no way to get a sofa in though those staircases.

Well just something a thougt you should notice.

and do remember, they have another way of looking on the little green plant "maruina" or Hemp.
you can actullay buy the plant on strett, even on the flowermarket I told you about.
But the plant is however illegal.
I think I was 17 when I first visitted Holland, and I saw this little funny green plant. And almost bought the bloddy thing, because I had not in my innocense seen it before. Until I took a closer look on litlle papermark. and remember the shape of the leaves from T-shirts on bizar persons.
Then its was put right back.

So when you find the market, notice what you buy.

And dont believe the blue tulipbulps either. they dont become blue

Newbee very easy to find flower market once you are in centre of Amsterdam and there are some wonderful christmas shops on same street when you are there you can get little street maps very easy to follow and may even have them in your hotel
