Amsterdam School Trip
Morning everyone,
I went to my evening class last night, and I am very excited to hear that in May they are planning a trip to Amsterdam! The itinerary is as follows: Keukenhof Gardens. Vanderburg Garden centre with demo Afternoon canal cruise Floraholland flower auction and Metz Then I get an afternoon to do my own thing. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could get up to? Floristry related would be great, but if there is a suggestion for a ‘must-see’ in Amsterdam then let me know! I’m really excited!!

The floating market is good it has touristy things and lots of plant bulbs and cut flowers. If you fancy taking some home they are a lot cheaper! but you'll have to hold them on the plane. Save some space in your case for goodies from cultra (near the auction) the sundries place they have amazing things it's huge and has alsorts of fab and funky stuff.
The sex museum is...well different, abound with the obscure and obscene. The van gogh musuem is better for the easily offended. Also the shopping in amsterdam is good, lots of things are cheaper (well it was before the euro).

Hello Newbee
There´s a street, in Amsterdam, where there´s almost only flowershops all the way down. Some only sell orchirds, some only tulipbulps, and so on. Well perhabs not shops, more like marketstores. But something that must be set eyes upon, for a flowerlover. I went there with a friend on a vacation once. I spended at least two hours there and almost all my money on every kind of bulps for my garden at home. And once I went with a group of Florist from Denmark, for a weekend to se Alsmeer and a demo. Saw a demo here in Denmark with a Dutch once. Realy great, but the one I saw in Holland that weekend. Uh hu hu hu. "Different" is the only word that come to mind. Do put your critic Spectacles on. But else, do enjoy the visit. I´m sure you´ll like it there. |

Really would have like our Friday one to take us, he is luverly, but he's leaving the end of March, what will we do without our Friday Fix with Hans boo hoo
We will miss him stripping off for a wash while we make him coffee, he can even make cleaning his teeth look sexy Oh well it was always only going to be a dream ........... |
