Hi Mel, I use morgan Richardson for my shop (ie windows and stock) and pubic liability insurance. They are a very good company that I have dealt with for years, they're specifically marketed as a florists insurance company; so they have tailored their insurance to account for such things as rise in stock levels during peak times etc.
My Van insurance is done through More than, online quotes are far cheaper than phoning round and try using a couple of comparison sites so you can put your details in once and they'll do all the work for you (you know how the adverts go!!) Buildings insurance- as I rent my shop, the landlord is responsible for this however, in my last shop I was liable to pay a percentage of the landlords building insurance each year (Grrrrr!). If you do rent, details will be found in your lease about building insurance. As regards to price, I can't see a point in any of us saying how much we each pay as everyones circumstances will be different, location, size of shop, turnover, amount of staff etc. Hope this helps! I've signed up with Bridge Insurance through the BFA! It was only £210! I had previously been using them on a different policy for just weddings and events and that was only £135.
There policy is also just for florists but it gives extra covers and I also got a discount for the BFA membership, so that cant be bad! ![]() |
